I have been very pleased with the blogs that have been started. Last time I taught this course I had students submit book "notes" that I didn't read until they were submitted at the end of the course. I think the use of blogs is going to be much more interactive and should result in some good discussion.
If any of you are having difficulties setting up your blogs don't hesitate to contact me or one of the students who have already "taken the leap"!
Thanks for being pioneers.

I really see some great uses for blogging in the classroom. This is such a neat way to communicate. One question I have is how should we keep up with each others blogs. Will we get an e-mail each time someone makes a new post? Is there a way to manage your blogs so they are all together somewhere? Thanks!
I am enjoying using blogging for our books. This is the first time I have done any blogging, and it is great to be learning about blogging and young adult literature at the same time. I took a class last spring and we used a wiki. Notification was sent by email when there was a new post, but it looks like with the blogs we just keep checking. Is that correct?
I agree with David and Brenda, blogging is a really great resource for teachers and librarians. I have been wanting to learn how to blog for quite awhile now, but have not taken the time to do it. I am really glad we are doing it for this class as it gets me more familiar with the process. I can see myself starting a blog at the middle school and trying to get students to post to it. I think this is a great way to share about books!
I tried to click on the "posts" section to get the posts sent to me, but I still got the same message that you get, "You do not have permission to read this blog"
Argh...
